Newcastle United!
Or would you like to support a side closer to home .“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
- John 13:34-35 (NRSV)

It's trying to ape off of the Spanish practice of bestowing "Real" to all squads blessed by the King.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Second: call it football
Third: don't call it soccer
Don't support Chelsea or Arsenal, go for a minor team, like say, Liverpool.
Hi Reds!!Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

Whatever happened to Manchester United?"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man." -- JFK Inaugural, 1961

Relatives and obscure connections are always good. I support Liverpool thanks to a bug in FIFA 97 where the commentator screamed out "McManaman!" every game---even when Liverpool wasn't playing. Clearly it was an omen from the gods."You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier
