This just goes to show: if you're getting to the point that you can't stand your kid and you think you might lose control, hand them off to a friend or even the social worker instead.

Unless, of course, your local hardware store is having a sale on axes that is too good to pass up. Hell, this mother was loving enough to try also buying a teddy bear for her infant. But she didn't have enough money to buy both...The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.
The Weighted Companion Cube is cheating on you, that slut.

Doesn't matter to me. I cannot let my primal emotions cloud my judgement by screaming, "EYE FOR AN EYE" over and over again.Originally posted by MichaeltheGreat

Yes -- because IMO, using taxpayer's money to avoid the barbaric pratice of capital punishment is a lesser evil to preserve a greater good. In this case, the greater good is being a more civilized nation rather than praticing "eye for an eye."A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

Let me know if this sounds like taking my position to too far of an extreme, but capital punishment could be seen as a cultural pratice that belongs with other uncivilized pratices found in primitive cultures, such as cannabalism, human sacrifice, infanticide, and so forth.
Is that too extreme of an argument for my position?A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

Ok, why would that be too much of an extreme of an argument for my position? Where is the fallacy?
I guess I'm testing an argument for my anti-capital punishment position because I have not thought of this particular argument before.A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

Let's assume that this mother has absolutely no chance of improving and becoming a real person. Why should she drain on the tax payer's money? Why should a murderer, drug-addict, be kept alive, and drain on the efforts of some family in suburban America, with nice and kind people? Why should she live?Originally posted by MrFun

It's stupid to compare human sacrifice to capital punishment. There is a large difference between killing innocent people in a cruel way, and killing mass-murderers in a pain-free way.Originally posted by MrFun
