He was Serbo-Croatian, but became a US citizen.

Which makes him an American as well . Unlike you stuffy Europeans, we are willing to consider anyone who has become a citizen to be an American .

              I'd rather pick Carter!

I can't stand the fact that he's a black role model. The guy was a fraud.

                    Jefferson
                    Lincoln
                    Martin Luther King jr.

there are no others that should even be considered.

but just for the hell of it I'll mention Bill Gates because he has donated billions of dollars to charity. More than any other american ever.

Malcom X feigned insanity to avoid the WW2 draft. He was involved in prostitution, robbery, and drug dealing. Some role model he is. He was arrested on breaking and entering, larceny, and carrying a firearm.

and I'm not even going into the bull**** religion that is nation of islam. I forgot to add his rejoicing over John F. Kennedy's death.

So anyway, what's everybody's predictions for the final top 10? NOTE NOTE not what you believe should be the top 10, what you believe that top 10 will be.

                        Mine is:

                        1. George Washington (when you look at it, most of the "Greatest ____" lists have had some major political figure at the top - Adenauer, Churchill, De Gaulle (LOL Fortuyn LOL) Washington's entrenched enough a figure to make it to the top.)

                        2. Abraham Lincoln (see: Washington)

                        3. Albert Einstein (everyone knows and loves Einstein)

                        4. Martin Luther King (black and liberal helps him to top 5)

                        5. Elvis Presley (If Lennon makes the list, Elvis will probably make the list as well.)

                        6. Neil Armstrong (the symbol of SPACE. Gotta have some SPACE ROCKETS on the list.)

                        7. Ronald Reagan (the power of Reagasm compels you!)

                        8. Oprah (fills the "lol what" seat of the list. Also, there aren't many women on the top 25 and I figure one of them's going to be in top 10. So it's probably going to be Oprah.)

                        9. FDR (If one looks at the other lists, one sees that WW2 is a popular period.)

                        10. George W. Bush ()
"Spirit merges with matter to sanctify the universe. Matter transcends to return to spirit. The interchangeability of matter and spirit means the starlit magic of the outermost life of our universe becomes the soul-light magic of the innermost life of our self." - Dennis Kucinich, candidate for the U. S. presidency
"That’s the future of the Democratic Party: providing Republicans with a number of cute (but not that bright) comfort women." - Adam Yoshida, Canada's gift to the world

No, it's because I have some brains in my head. Lord knows how you've been so brainwashed by the left, but RFK was a loser who, like his brother, is only thought of highly because he was shot.

I voted largely traditional - for Washington and Jefferson, and I threw in FDR.
