Wow, I would really like to taste them! The sissy "spicy" crisps Estrella makes wouldn't bring tears to the eyes of a baby! They tried to launch a Salt & Vinegar crisp a while back, but they put so much sugar (!!!) in the vinegar so they tasted nothing like the british ones. Proper S & V crisps SHOULD make your tounge curl up and hide. That's what the beer is for, dammit!!

Sure I could.

Take rice. Make rice flour out of it. Make a runny paste out of it using water, and let it ferment for about a day. Steam the resultant mixture until it is nice and firm, in the shape of little discs. They come out fluffy and delicious.



In the above photo, they are served with sambar.

No. It is traditionally served with either chutney or sambar, both of which are spicy.
