  • That is what people like Dan don't like to see because it upsets their eggs benedict and shows them what they are really supporting with such indifference to human suffering.
Since when is wanting to see it in text versus photos "indifference to human suffering"? I think you're going overboard here, AH.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

    • So when will these photos be released?

      • Don't know. I assume we'll have an appeal from the government. Maybe somebody will leak the photos othewise.

        • I wasn't in the military, I'm in the peace business.
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

            • I also run a mile from anything that whiffs of war or fighting so I'm not one of those conflict junkies.

But anyway, when you think of Iraq, think of the suffering of the children.

              • I've tried to think of the interests of the vast majority of the children. It was a cocked up situation to begin with and we were making the situation worse by what we were doing beforehand anyways. If we're going to be gutless no matter the situation, I would rather us have been gutless in this fashion.

Because black text on newspaper can easily be passed off as hyperbole while color photos of the acts are a little harder to dismiss.
The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.

                          • Very true. There is no question of what is going on when it's a photograph.

Unless, of course, if it is a fake, witch was the case of those from UK.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Or the outrage of Bush dressing up as a soldier while ignorant about what war is really like.
