Like, I couldn't care less if Amerindians insist that the sky is actually blue.

I find it more annoying when someone's lack of vocabulary or thought causes them to constantly use the same word or phrase. Popular abuses for this:
              "like"
Curse words, typically sh!t and variations of F***
              "I mean"
              "you know"

I broke up with a girl who had a problem with calling everything "the bomb" and she was 29. I worked with a VP who abused the phrase, "the fact of the matter is...."

              edit: see alva's post

you broke up with a woman because she said the bomb? perhaps the worst reason to break up with someone, ever.

Um, he said he broke up with that chick -- he didn't say that the reason was because of her use of the phrase, "the bomb."

I heard this girl the other day use the phrase "the bomb". It sounded wierd. Like some weird 90's flashback. I never liked that phrase even in the 90's.

I preferred the late 80's version: "the ****". that will probably be censored. (rhymes with clit)

Now imagine undergoing frequent flashbacks. She was attractive so if that was her only flaw I could have survived or tried to change her (that's easy right ).

I broke up with her because after 6months I found her true identity to be too emotional, materialistic to the point of bankruptcy and she "had visions". She also talked about her gay roommate too much. The high maintenance just wasn't worth it. When she started hinting at marriage I broke it off.

Speaking of flashbacks, one of the 1st people I met online was a NewZealand woman who constantly used the word "groovy".
