Believe it or not, there are plenty of students out there who don't drink.

I've always found nature the best drug i get of on. So its possible to find something for you in place of alcohol, and as has been mentioned, not drinking is mostly plus points

I had friends ages ago who were big into drugs etc. I always found it slightly disturbing they needed to be 'out of it' as much as they did. Reality may suck, and for some people worse than others, but at the end of the day you have the power to live the reality you choose to live. If other people are making your life hell then F**k them, cut them out and move on with your life(like listening to VJ's poison in this instance).

There are so many wonderful things in this life worth living for to see and take part in. Just take the time to find the ones for you.

For me, as i mentioned its nature - it really grounds me when the whole world seems like its going no-where, fresh air, trees, peace and quiet, animals.

Also i travelled the world on the cheap, meeting people of different cultures and shareing with them.

Sunrise in the desserts of Jordan with a bedwin family, seing in New year on the top of the great pyramid in Egypt, Eating crab with my tribe on the beach in Papua New Guinea.

Verres, there are many many wonderful things that make life worth living, so just work out what yours are and things will turn out fine, they really will, with or without alcohol

Hmmm. I wish i could show you these things - but for each person they are a little different. I hardly drink and its never left me feeling like i've lost out on something. I just look at what it does to other people and know i made the right choice.

It wasn't an easy thing - i'm a rugby player/ex boxer etc, not a typical candidate by any strecth

Listen - good luck, stay well and come back and tell us what the good things in life for you are. Everything is possible, happiness most definately so. I had to battle with my demons during my life, but the hard fight paid off - i'm pretty indestructable these days and its in everyone to do the same.

'The very basis of the liberal idea – the belief of individual freedom is what causes the chaos' - William Kristol, son of the founder of neo-conservitivism, talking about neo-con ideology and its agenda for you.info here. prove me wrong.

I just have to say that with that kind of attitude, VJ will probably himself be headed for grave psychological problems in the future. No respect for others -> no respect for oneself.

Yes, but the best moments are late at night when everybody is well wasted and you're having fun simply talking nonsense...

I have had the thought of killing myself 100000 times already, due to this backache that I've been having nearly constantly for years and years... Living in pain is hell

I'm not going to do it though, I realize that I live in a place with a lot of luxury and that there are a lot of people who are off worse than I am
