  • It was a bit of no-brainer really, it was easy to get Liverpool a place in the CL and the sh1t UEFA would 've caught for not doing it far outweighed the need to do a little bit of re-juggling.

I know. I can't understand why they took the bet.

Are there still tickets on sale (for Enschede)? Maybe I'll come over for the quarter final.

Do Americans know the theme to Dambusters? I know some Germans do

          • we dont have any chants - we just idiotically shout "USA! USA! USA! USA!" over and over again, faster and faster.

            then youll fit right in.

            • Don't you have songs? What about at club level, different clubs must have different songs?

                • Does Imran really have to pay reds $20? Not like he can enforce it.

Next Fantasy PL people should put money in though. LIke send $5 each to someone trustworthy, then they pay the winner at the end.

                    After the opposition scores:
"That's allright, that's OK, you're going to work for us someday."

This is usually applied when better schools (e.g., Northwestern, Stanford) play schools with better football teams (e.g., just about anybody else), but I think it might be adapted to the Euro case.

Yeah, there's still a fair number of seats available. Not in the very best 'vakken', but you wouldn't be condemned to the worst seats either.

I've sort of made an agreement to see all (interesting) matches in Enschede with a buddy of mine, but we haven't ordered our quarter final tickets yet (we first wanna see a few group matches to make sure it's worth it) so I'm sure we can work something out if you're interested in meeting up.

                      And Americans not having chants:

No wonder you s*ck arse (at football, that is)

Oh well, we still want you to beat the Germans, so we'll have to be creative

                      • Americans don't tend to have any forms of crowd behaviour that are spontaneous. You are supposed to spend the game stuffing yourself with hot dogs and ten dollar beers.

Canadians are not quite as bad, but at the first Jays game I went to I nearly doubled over when the big video board started telling people when to cheer.

                        • me and my mates were just talking the other day about how much fun it would be to turn up to a match where no there's no chanting or singing (like a fulham game ) and just start abusing everyone.

All bets are only 'gentlemens agreements' in the UK, even when you bet with a registered bookmaker you are relying on them to do the honourable thing and pay up.

                              • No, I'll definetly pay up... I just have to know where. I *could* write 'reds4ever' on a $20 and put in a bottle and throw it into the Atlantic, but I'm not sure that'll work .
