The empire designed all its weapons before anyone had invented ropes. The rebels' use of ropes during the attacks on Hoth and the ambush on Endor's moon were a complete shock to the Empire, who were unaccustomed to the idea that walkers could be made to trip.

Well, they had hovering drones, so why didn't they make armored hovering weapons platforms? It seems so obvious.

I'm told that a blaster uses a laser to propel a slug of metal from the barrel. Why? Why not just use the laser as a weapon?

                    I didn't know that Doc.

I like Star Wars the darker it gets.

                      A. It's going to be a great movie. I liked AotC, and this will be, by far, the darkest movie of the series yet.

                      B. Who says I'm waiting in line? I didn't see I was going to see the midnight showing!

Hmm may 19th, how convenient, I get done with final exams that day.

                        Why a Thursday release though?

IIRC, it's always been a Thursday release. It's to get a better weekend number, I think. Maybe get the people who show up on midnight the first night come back on that Saturday?

Because they don't want anti-social, pyschopaths disrupting the viewing pleasure of others who are in the theater.

There was talk of a total redo of the last three Star Wars flix. Anyone else heard anything?

You mean on DVD or in the theater for the third time (since they already showed the first trio in the theater a second time)?
