Bad placement - no gurantee they will find it. Tut ank amons sarkophague would be a better place (and will give a much better reaction ).
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

            "Stopping the bubonic plague "

I was aware of the paradox mentioned earlier. However I ignored it as it created a paradox that made the thread impossible, but if I didn't make the thread nobody could mention the paradox...

            You see my problem.

Which really does not need that much modern technology.

I think Caligula would have benefitted from having a few ICBMs to lob around at unruly senators, horses, butterflies that looked at him in a funny manner, and so on.

I bet he could also make good use of electric laundry irons.

Yes, I must go back in time and teach Emperor Caligula to iron his own linens. And his own kittens. And his own senators. And his own slavelings. It is the sane thing to do.

Why not give Nero some napalm - I guess that he could find some use for it.

Oh, almost forgot, and a violin.

Actually, I'd give the whole entire western world those chinese fingercuffs.

Why would you give it to anyone when you could set yourself up as a warlord?

                                Just for fun.

For example you could give a rap CD plus player to Bach just to see his face when he hears it. Or give an AK47 to one of the gladiators in the collosseum just to see he the crowd's reacting. Lots of other possibilities....
