No, but for the Danish minority in the northern Germany. And I think for the Sorbic (sp?) people in he south east (near Poland).
I think for those minorities which lived in those areas for centuries it is a good solution.
One person, one vote. The way it is, minorities are overrepresented in the parliament here. Why is their vote worth more than mine? The whole idea is stupid and should be scrapped.
It doesn't violate their rights if they vot for same representatives and parties as I do.Comment

I suspect both numbers are "exaggerated." For example, Stalin is said to have killed 20-30 million of his own people before the war. Add to that another 30 million, and we should have a fairly significant population decline from the 1920s to 1945.

Regarding Germany and revenge, I read that there were plans by some Jewish underground organisation to poison water supplies in some major German city as a way of paying back. Fortunately, they didn't go through with that. I imagine it was fairly simple thing to do back at the end of world war II.Comment

I don't know if it appeared elsewhere in this thread but the Russians said no to an apology. :shocked: They said the occupation of the baltic states was a mutual agreement between themselves and themselves...ooopppsss, I meant their puppet government...ooopppsss, I meant the baltic states. Don't make a mockery out of this. The occupation of them was the result of the fully legal agreement between soviet and germany where they decided how to split poland and the baltic areas when they started the war.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

it was calm. in west berlin it was madness. punks, drugs whatever problems of the western world magnified to the extreme.
east was calm, humane, lots o book stores i recall. they didnt have coca cola but something similar.Comment
