That's where Wikipedia says he teaches. So you can see the interesting path from praying in tongues/conservative church to not praying in tongues/conservative church in the span of a decade or two.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

      Man, Americans are bonkers...
Listen, I could tell you stories about religion in Montreal that would make you want to move from the area.

        Well, let's hear it!

Nah, I don't want to shatter his fragile sense of place, other than to point out that Montreal is where that human cloning guy is located.

You've already said to much. Sorry, you'll have to be disposed of. Btw, I know there are crazy canucks, some of them are even posting here , but it seems to me that the USA has a lot more crackpots than any other industrialized country.

Isn't that where the Raelians are?

True. But I think there is some connection between the Pentecostals and the charismatic Catholics. I keep seeing protestants, or former protestants having that influence on the Catholic church.

One case of that was a seminar on spiritual gifts I attended, designed by a protestant convert for Catholics. That was an interesting conference for me, since I could see the patterns of thought that were familiar.

You're thinking about the Realians, right? The guy is actually a frenchman. I don't know why he's here, maybe he's not welcomed in France anymore. Frankly, I pretty sure most people join the Realians for the free love and the hot babes.

                              Anyway....

Well, as stated, I don't know that the charismatic movement is still alive in the the catholic church in any numbers. Of course, that doesn't mean that catholics don't take such ideas "on board," considering that the gift of tongues has solid grounding within the early church. On the other hand, the novelty of the ideas for most catholics earned a healthy amount of suspicion of charismatics.
