Are you guys using the right encodings?

    Firefox supports unicode fully.

Well I can't seem to get it to work properly. It has the characters right, but they look like crap.

      I'll post some screenies.

In reality both are slightly crisper than these pics, but I was too lazy and used my ultra crude resize droplet instead of doing it properly, but the difference is stark.

Maybe they are just using different types (fonts). Try adjusting the settings in FF.

            *shrug*

It has a bug dealing with PHP scripts that we found out during one of the development projects, so we avoid using Safari.

Except it's Firefox that doesn't work in this case. Not that the open source community is wired in to the concerns of classicists.

                OK, I've seen this option.

View > Character encoding > then what?

What does Unicode do? is there any way to set it up as default and avoid putting it back manually?

I don't understand. Maybe I'm wrong, but if I want my browser to always display text with the "20% larger" option, I should somehow be able to tell it to, right?

Anyone know why I can't install extensions or themes for FireBird btw? It keeps saying they aren't compatible with FireFox.

FireBird as in the open source database, or the pre-Firefox Firefox?

Perseus: the less geeky Greek site.

It must be a Firefox for mac problem. The site reports that FF for Windows works OK, although their information is out of date, since the Webcore based browsers (Safari, Omniweb) work perfectly.
