I'm against severe punishment, but I believe that people should be punished for crimes.

I was suggesting the same torture be done to him that he did. not to his kid. Yes rape his has if thats what he did. When you find yourself arguing with an idiot, you might want to rethink who the idiot really is.

If someone killed a person I loved in a brutal manner I can't say that I would not do whatever I had to do to make sure that person died in a similar manner.Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We are evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction wherever we go. I'm surprised you didn't know that. --Saul Tigh

No its not. But i think the criminals that do violent crimes get off easy with life in prision and then lethal injection. The victim didnt have the choice of a quick death or a quick rape. When you find yourself arguing with an idiot, you might want to rethink who the idiot really is.

Boris - I know Gandhi was not a Buddhist, but much of what he taught came from Buddhist teachings as well as the Hindu tradition. I could have just as easily said I am not a good Christian. I used Buddhism because it has the strongest nonviolence tradition of the five major religions - and yes I know Theravada Buddhism per se is not a religion - and because it contributed so heavily to Gandhi's thinking that it is germane. Plus I was trying to keep my post short, for once. The worst form of insubordination is being right - Keith D., marine veteran. A dictator will starve to the last civilian - self-quoted
And on the eigth day, God realized it was Monday, and created caffeine. And behold, it was very good. - self-quoted

I can't believe people still fall for that other cheek bs logic. Eye for an eye is bad phrase and makes no sense at all. Why should the "punishment" be same, it has to more than just an "eye". If there is intentional harm done upon you then it's open season on the *******, but the options are limited. I wouldn't fight back unless I knew I would get away with it.
