aww the old lawyer/client confidential rule. Yes to be unethical he would have to have done everything in his power to get oj found guilty because he knew that he was guilty while representing him, however that didnt happen here
When you find yourself arguing with an idiot, you might want to rethink who the idiot really is.

Its better not to know. That way your client can take the stand and you won't be positive that he is perjuring himself (you can't put someone on the stand who you know is going to lie)

Exactly. It seems people were pissed that OJ got off and thus think Cochran MUST have done something unethical without any proof.

Actually, I think the guy who won the case for OJ was not Cochran, but F. Lee Bailey. He was a guy who cross-examined Fuhrman and got him to say that he did not use the "n" word in the last 10 years, which they later proved to be a boldface lie. That killed the prosecution's case because it was Fuhrman who found the glove behind a house, etc., etc. etc.

So all defense attorneys are, by definition, unethical?

It's a good think you're not one, I suppose. I would hate for your strenuous definition of "unethical" to screw a client.

Don't you know Boris, if the police charge you for a crime, you are automatically guilty and don't deserve any representation .

What else do you expect from a poster who lives in China?

It is unethical to lie to the court, or permit your witnesses to lie.
