I used to vomit all over the place... In those days it wasn´t considered a successful night out unless you had vomited at least once

Why not pledge for lowering the age for softer alcoholic drinks such as beer or wine and leave it for the hard ones like whiskey...
Ofc, both can get you drunk, but you'll get more sympathy if you state "I am 19 and I'd like to enjoy a beer"

I'd definitely support lowering the drinking age to 18 if I were an American. It's 19 in most places here so it's not quite so rediculous (still think it makes more sense at 18, though).

responsibly drinking half of a bottle of tuaca, some crown royal, numerous rum and cokes (light on the coke), getting kicked out of your freinds party, throwing up for hours and not remembering a good portion of the evening

                                Ozzy:

I notice your main realistic aim with that campaign is to build a lasting grass-root activity in Vermont. I'd like to ask you a few questions, and maybe to give you some advice from my experience as an activist of a relatively unknown/unpopular cause.

                                1. Do you have a significant amount of activists in Vermont? It's the first important question, as such people can be an extremely important asset in A. giving you good local tips about how to campaign efficiently (it's not obvious to merely know the good spots where kids hang around, and you could lose much of your precious time looking for them), and B. maintaining the interests you guys will spark.

If you only have passive members in Vermont, you may want to mail them personally so that they give you tips per e-mail (so that you can look for additional info on the 'net before leaving), and you can ask them to give a hand, even if their help won't be too much.

                                2. Be ready to have plenty of people who'll say they're interested, and who'll never contact you again, simply because they're not sure, or they don't bother. This is not too bad in your case, because it will weed out the kids who aren't genuinely interested in youth rights, but who only want to get wasted. However, you might lose much useful potential in the process. Make sure to regularly contact the people who want to adhere to your cause if they don't take the step themselves.

                                3. Do you have all the propaganda material you'll need in your car, or will you print it there? If it's the second option, you should make sure to take contact with local printeries before going there. Printing material can take some time, and your campaign will be extremely short.

                                4. When you see someone that looks really motivated, exchange adresses and phone number. Discuss and explain how indispensable he'll be to the cause: you must make sure he'll feel as important as he actually is (real activists are a rare and precious thing). Don't stop sympathizing with him even if you upset the schedule a bit. If you recruit even a few dozens of such people in your trip, you'd have scored a serious success.
