I would like to add one that a security guard was killed. He obviously wasn't of any use.

And this took place on an indian reservation. Not that this should change anything.

        bump

I was going to go into a spiel about gun control, but it appears 1 of the weaons used was his grandfather's police issue handgun. But now the news is saying 3 weapons may have been used. So it is possible one of them was a legally purchased gun.

Personally I think all handguns should be illegal. It's funny we can outlaw sawed off shotguns, but not handguns. I don't get it.

Yes I hear all the time about the black market. But the fact remains that most weapons used in crimes have been legally purchased at one time. While it is true most people who purchase guns don't committ crimes, the problem is when they sell these guns to pawnshops, or just sell them to a neighbor or buddy. The guns eventually find their way into the wrong hands.

No comment about gun control. Lets leave that out of here.

I express my deepest regrets such a crime has happened.

And that's ironic Diss.. what's that in your avatar? Looks like a guy holding a revolver to me.

8 people have been shot dead and you think it best we don't talk about gun control?

                Uh huh.

                But still you got PWNed.

There is no reason to ban any guns because that doesn't deter crime. That is only ****ing with our rights to bear arms. No thanks. Sava even agrees with me.. don't you Sava.. you owner of several handguns?

I think we should look at this kid's parents, not at banning guns. People like whaleboy are delusional and do delusional things. Thank goodness these delusional people are not our lawmakers!

how did I get pwnd? Police officers would still carry handguns even if we did ban handguns. We can't turn the U.S. into some pansy nation like England where the police don't carry guns.

The citizens deserve a right to carry handguns for self defense. If we ban handguns for citizens we are becoming a pansy nation.

You people scream about gun control.. yet you seem to forget about the black market and how most gun crimes are committed by unregistered guns.

If you want to defend you home then get a long shotgun.

                      Handguns are concealable.

                      Big difference.

I think having a concealed weapon is appropriate.

Put guns in the hands of stupid/violent people, disaster is inevitable. Stupid/violent people are more constant than the drone of a helicopter travelling at the speed of light, so the logical step is to ban handguns, for which there is no use anyway.

Really? Your logic doesn't add up. I deserve the right to have a handgun when I reach the age (21 here in California). You have no right to take my freedoms away. There is plenty of use. You are just living in your fantasy land.
