I don't understand why you want to prolong her existence in this condition so much when there is no hope she will recover. Would you want to exist like that? Would anyone? Does anyone go around saying, "I don't care how much of a total vegetable I am and if I have no hope of recovery--just don't let me die!" Who wants that existence? Using just a little bit of logic would lead anyone to the conclusion that it is highly, highly likely that Terri wouldn't want to exist like this.

So there's nothing cavalier about my position. My utmost concern is for Terri Schiavo. I don't consider the grief of her parents at all relevant to her condition and whether or not she should be kept alive in this state.

The issue is whether she should be forced to persist in such a state, pain or not. You yourself wouldn't, neither would your wife. Neither would I. Neither would the vast majority of people.

You have no way of knowing whether or not she would feel pain in her PVS state. There isn't any real medical consensus on that issue.

I could care less who were behind the effort to keep Schiavo alive. I don't see keeping anyone in such a state alive as a positive thing, so making emotional appeals to it are pointless.

I think my favorite thing about lefties is their innate need to feel like they are arguing for the moral side in any debate, whether they actually are or not. Hence Boris' tortured reasoning on why allowing Terri Schiavo to continue to live is a source of suffering that must be stopped by starving her to death...

This is pretty common, actually. It doesn't give you a free pass to screw around on your spouse and it requires you to care for him/her to the best of your ability. Yeh, life sucks some times. It was always thus.
