I just don't understand why you want this woman to die so much. We have no proof that she wanted to die in this situation. Should we really be so cavalier about these things?

Point number 1.
A loving and caring husband that has a girlfriend and kids with the girlfriend?
Right.
Point 2.
You guys are saying to end her suffering. Take out the feeding tube.
Opponents say yeah starve her to death, make her suffer before she dies.
Response: She won't suffer, she has PVS.
Well, if she won't suffer because she has PVS, SHE SURE AS HELL ISN'T SUFFERING NOW!!!!
At least use a better argument.
I have now PWNED every one of you "pull the feeding tube" hacks.
You may worship me.

So there's nothing cavalier about my position. My utmost concern is for Terri Schiavo. I don't consider the grief of her parents at all relevant to her condition and whether or not she should be kept alive in this state.Tutto nel mondo è burla

You have no way of knowing whether or not she would feel pain in her PVS state. There isn't any real medical consensus on that issue.
So there, you've had your two arguments blown apart. Happy?Tutto nel mondo è burla

I think you just dislike conservative Christians so much that you don't want to see them get their way on anything, even if their goal is to keep a woman alive...
I could care less who were behind the effort to keep Schiavo alive. I don't see keeping anyone in such a state alive as a positive thing, so making emotional appeals to it are pointless.Tutto nel mondo è burla

The issue is whether she should be forced to persist in such a state, pain or not. You yourself wouldn't, neither would your wife. Neither would I. Neither would the vast majority of people.

Then don't use her suffering as an excuse.

Nope just digging yourself deeper.

I think my favorite thing about lefties is their innate need to feel like they are arguing for the moral side in any debate, whether they actually are or not. Hence Boris' tortured reasoning on why allowing Terri Schiavo to continue to live is a source of suffering that must be stopped by starving her to death...KH FOR OWNER!

A man who is supposed to do nothing else with his life for 15 years, despite the fact that his wife is never going to get any better?I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
