because what you posted is an op-ed from a biased source...

it's as "credible" as Shi's fundie sources.

      .
Also, Schiavo disclosed that only $50,000 remains of the $750,000, so it's not as if he's sitting on a huge inheritance that he's trying to protect by axing his wife.

      • Well if you won't even give the Weekly Standard a look, there's no use talking to you. You're just going to brush off any evidence to the contrary of your opinion...

No thats not at all what I said, I said if his parents and family thought he had a chance I would no way stand in their way and hopes. Believe me The decesion would be hard and one that i wouldnt want to make. But Who am I to take the life of the person a mother brought into this world. Though it doesnt sound like it im kinda neutral in this matter, I stated if you want to remove the tube by all means but dont let the woman lay there and starve to death.

I read it. I almost always read stuff people post to support their arguments. But I decided to brush it off after I noticed factual errors like I pointed out in an earlier post.

you're right... it can't be a "factual" error if the error in question wasn't a fact.

                  • that source is wrong... according to wikipedia, he stopped therapy in 1992... after 2 years of intense therapy, there was no chance in her condition.

The only efforts ever undertaken to improve Terri's condition took place in 1990 and 1991. They had ceased by the time of the malpractice trial in 1992 because her insurance coverage had run out.

                    Where's the discrepancy?

                      • Wikipedia is absolutely the best source.

With what other source can you change the text so that your outlandish claim is fully supported.

                            • Man, I trust Michael Schiavo about as far as I can throw him. How can you guys be so naive?

this is the error... should read 1992

That's the rhetorical question, Sava. The answer says that treatment had stopped by the time of the 1992 malpractice case, as I quoted earlier...

Naive? Because we trust the legal process, two court decisions, and the findings of court-appointed experts? As opposed to fundie whackjob parents who went doctor shopping?
