Just what I was gonna ask. In fact, I did ask, but the damn post didn't actually register.

Potatoes last longer in the fridge. The only things I keep out of the fridge are fruit and tomatoes, because they taste more if kept in room temperature.

The fridge I have access to is stuffed full of all kinds of crap. We have arguments over whether or not bread should be refrigerated. At the moment, it contains of mine, one half-empty jar of pesto.

I can´t for my life understand why some people put bread in the fridge. It´s not like it will last longer...

Only if it frequently gets moldy from not being eaten fast enough.

That looks like a bachelor's /student's fridge. I'm guessing you can tell a lot about a person's marital status/ family by what's in their fridge.

I don't have a picture but I know at a minimum there would be

                          1 4l skim milk
                          1 4l homogenized milk
                          1 1l apple juice
                          1 2l orange juice
                          1 2l cranberry juice
                          6-12 mini yogurt servings
                          4-8 mini drinkable yogurt
                          apples
                          oranges
                          grapes or strawberries
                          baby carrots, regular carrots
Some of the following : green pepper, red pepper, baby tomatoes, corn, asparagus ,broccoli , lettuce
Cheese-- sticks, sliced, shredded and at least 3 different blocks of cheese
Condiments-- ketchup, mustard, relish, mayo, soy sauce, oyster sauce, teriyaki, steak rub, jame, marmelade and probably 4-5 more sauces

Other-- pickles, beets, maybe chicken or beef (if planned for a meal soon), some variety of sliced sandwich meats

I'm missing a bunch of stuff and don't even get me started on the freezer section of the fridge or better yet our freezer downstairs (Mrs Flubber loves the deals at Costco)

What i find most interesting is your fridge door opens right to left, while every fridge ive ever seen or used has opened left to right. Is this a Scandinavian thing?

Really?? Here in Canada you can buy them either way-- whichever way suits your floor plan best and I believe that many fridges can be switched from lefties to righties
