Trade secrets are not covered by freedom of the press. Government secrets are.
It seems what's going on is that Apple is trying to force these bloggers to divulge their sources, so that Apple can sue them. I don't see where the Court gets off making this ruling.

We are either discussing the rule of law, or whether a certain law is ethical and/or just. I wasn't discussing whether information should be free. Rather, if somebody broke a law, he should face the consequences. There's no civil disobedience without getting yourself in gaol.
As for blogs, they are no different from a Web forum such as 'Poly and is almost identical to regular websites.
