    Frozzy's message:
Eventis.ssxh.net is currently unavailable due to a critical database malfunction caused by conflicting data held on the server, most probably occuring at roughly 2:54am Eastern Standard Time. The database has therefore been rendered incompatible with the current forum software (though, oddly, most likely compatable with the older software used on the Eventis II website). The cause of the conflict is most likely caused by rushed installation of Eventis III due to the posting and whinging (nobody in particular, I assure you). Downtime will be of sufficient length to ensure proper security and installation.
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

That makes it sound like the database is intact.

Let's hope for a stabler Eventis IV!

I sense a reoccuring theme. Lets hope Civ IV is better. Lets hope Eventis IV is better...

Regarding D&D, I vote for a fresh start too. I was sick of my old character anyway.

Also, we may as well take the opportunity to vote on issues while IV is warmed up for us. To that end:

I vote we keep the currency names of III. They barely had time to mature as currencies.

Also, I vote that standard items (avatars, sig, title) be kept to a minimum cost for all previous Events. Say, between 10 and 100 blanks. For non-Events or for those who don't join within the first fortnight IV is up, it can change back to 500 or 1000 or whatever the insane mods feel is appropriate.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

              Voting? There is no voting!

You will take what Frozzy gives you and be grateful for it.

*ahem* Having said that, your suggestions sound pretty good.

So much for the banking strategy.

And you were worried about people hoarding money.

That sounds good to me too. If it's 10 to 100 blanks, that would be much more reasonable than 500-1000 blanks.

So have I, so have I.

At the first three Eventises, I have had the highest post count every time.

Verily, I shall give them a run for their money on IV.

Christ, how many times must Eventis crash'n'burn before before Frozzy finds something that's acctually stable?

As far as lost databases, we'll always have this...
