I prayed a lot towards the end of last year - actually went into a cathedral to do it as well.

Never do normally though. I'm pretty much an athiest (despite being Christened - that means nothing) so I was just clutching at straws really.

The only time I pray is when I have the runs. "Oh. god... please make it stop."

Prayer should lead to (human) action, or its not much use.

I once prayed for a girlfriend, and shortly after I did get a girlfriend.

            Coincidence? Yes.

Even when I did go to church, I never prayed.

But I admit, even in desperate times when my life is at risk, I pray. It's so silly. Why would I do such a thing?

I like to insult the gods before writing an exam. As many gods as possible. Literally. With lots of invective. At great length. Does that count as prayer?

Does anyone remember the SNL skit where they had a woman who prayed to Jesus before she ever did anything, including walking across the room. Jesus appeared to her and asked her to stop praying to him.

                  I'm a pagan- I don't pray or worship. I celebrate.

The difference is crucial. While I accept the notion of an overwhelming entity that goes far beyond my individual existance, I don't accept that I'm inferior to it. I'm part of it.

                          Once a day.
However, I think the answers are wrong.
Agnostics can pray. They should be counted as believers with doubts.

Most of them are very small prayers. And I pray at least 2 times a day longer then a few minutes.
