I agree with Oerdin, if it's a possibility in your country. Do what it takes and if it works out... you know that's it. If not, then you have to work many angles and it just gets complicated.

        I agree.

MRT, what uni do/did you go to? Most Universities have an appeals board you can submit requests to. They're like the supreme court of the school and can reverse any decision made by the university.

I would suggest you figure out why you didn't do well and why you had to drop out. If it was truly because you were lazy, then you need to make something up. If it was because of some sort of depression (I'm guessing) go to a psychiatrist, talk to them about your problems and how it affected your school work. They won't argue with you. Then ask them to write you a short letter that says you were unable to thrive during the academic year because of a severe depression. Then write your appeals board (usually there's a form) and attach the letter you got from the Pysch. Unless they're hard asses, it will work. Or you'll at least get some kind of break.

And if its not depression (I just made that up) do something else similar... learning disability, whatever. Just do whatever it takes to get back into school and consider it a second chance.

Boris, let's put it this way. MRT has never responded to any of my posts with anything other than a personal attack. He has been 100% vicious in his posts.

While I have no desire to see the average dude fall on his face, I really enjoy MRT's self destruction.

This has nothing to do with compassionate conservatism. It has to do with a personal vendetta by MRT against me and my reaction to it.

San Francisco has a huge number of homeless people as well. The likely cause is the high cost of housing but the city's cash payments permissive policies towards the homeless ended up attracting a lot of out of town homeless people to that city.

As I said, I doubt he's ever gloried in any misfortune of yours. A big difference. And considering you consider just criticism of the president as "vicious," I have to think it's just because he disagrees with you.

But your response indicates to me that his "viciousness" was justified. And that I should go back to having you on ignore.

Portland has an astonishing number of homeless. And they all tend to be pretty polite. And supposedly it's for the same reason--they find the Portland climate and atmosphere best for being on the street.

What I like about here in San Diego is the homeless don't pan-handle or beg. The city has antipan-handling and vagrancy laws that they ruthlessly enforce to keep the place looking nice for the tourist. Instead the homeless offer petty services for change.

You'll see people playing guitar for money, offering to clean car windows, drawing pictures, tap dancing, selling newspapers (the newspaper gives the homeless free papers to help them survive), and what not. It isn't a permanent solution but it allowed the homeless to not break the pan-handling and/or vagrancy laws while still getting a bit of money.

Its hardly self destruction Ned. He got evicted. That happens to the best of us.

What this thread has essentially turned into however is a stay-in-school-MRT deal, but still. Dropping out of school isn't the end of the world either.

                            Sorry to ruin your fun.
