  • The Packers have signed Jim Bates as defensive coordinator. Hopefully this will help their defense.

    • has Brett Favre retired? I really thought he would after this season.

      • He is at his home in Louisiana and will continue to stay there for a few weeks I think. He has not decided whether he will continue playing or if he will retire. I don't know if he will, but he's definitely not the start QB he once was.

        • I hate Philadelphia. I hate their raucous fans who don't have the decency to shut the **** up when a player is injured. I was so happy being in PA the last two years and seeing their faces when the Eagles lost in the NFC Championship game more than once.

If it were the Falcons (or pretty much any other team), I'd be looking forward to an entertaining game and would give the team its due. But its Philly.

Instead, I am fully looking forward to the Patriots manhandling the wannabes.

          Go New England!

Clearly God is on our side...

Well, Maybe God should have spoken with TO's doctor first because TO's doctor has not medically cleared him to play.

TO wants to play anyway, of course.

This whole thing is playing out like the movie Friday Night Lights . I'd rather not see TO in the Super Bowl if he is going to risk a career-ending injury.

              • TO is not going to play. Andy Reid is NOT going to go over the doctor's heads on this one. He doesn't want to risk not having TO next year (and the year after that, etc).

                • We are talking a broken bone here... worst case senario, he reinjures it... no big deal. He would be ready long before camp next year. This doesn't look like one of the those "possible career-ending injury" situations if he plays. The real question is, could he be effective. I think Reid will play him if he thinks he will be of some value to the team. If he sees him limping and not able to make cuts... he probably won't play him.

                    • On the best QBs of all time list, Brady and Manning are both probably in the top ten, and with another Superbowl victory, I'd put Brady at least close to the top five. But Montana, Elway, and Young still will be top three for a while to come.

                      • I would also hope that Marino and Unitas are solid 4 and 5 (in whatever order you'd like ) as well.

                        • NE will win but Philly won't roll over for them unless you think 31-17 qualifies.

                            • Eh... Namath isn't that high for me. I'd put Fouts and Stauback over him. Maybe even Ken Anderson.
