My main concern is that they might drag this out too much. I see Lost as the kind of story that doesn't lead itself well to being told over nine seasons. So I think ending it after the next season would be optimal... which would mean they have lots of explaining to do.

1. that dharma or others moved pieces of the plane out to sea
2. another plane was used as ocean debris
3. that 815 was found, but due to desmond jumping in time, there are multiple flight 815s
4. other theory...
I'm not sure that anyone ever went searching for a plane in a 4 mile deep ocean trench. I wonder if the pieces would be big enough to be seen by sonar or radar from a search craft. Furthermore the cost of removing all of the bodies to identify them would be prohibitive, so the rescurers couldn't really say they found all of them. Also many of the bodies would have been thrown clear and would have settled into the seabed some distance from the wreckage.
Might the island be a portal between dimensions? Perhaps under some conditions those who pass through are duplicated with one copy entering the alternate dimension but the other being left behind."I say shoot'em all and let God sort it out in the end!

I stopped watching this show a year and a half ago.Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

We already knew what happened to the Dharma Initiative. Where Ben came from is not a question that was in anyone's minds really. Locke getting shot was expected."Yay Apoc!!!!!!!" - bipolarbear

Now that the producers have negotiated a specific end date for the series, the prospect of a coherent (OK, I'll settle for "definite") ending has made the series inherently more interesting.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

TV's most maddening yet addictive serial thriller will end in May, 2010, Lost's parent network ABC announced Monday.
Three shortened, 16-episode seasons will air beginning next February. Each season's episodes will air over consecutive weeks, with no reruns.
Monday's announcement was the first time a major network has telegraphed the end of a top-rated series so far in advance.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

No, we didn't. We knew they didn't exist in any meaningful sense anymore, but we never knew what caused their downfall and when/how it happened.
Locke getting shot was expected.
Someone on this board called the Locke would die. I am too lazy to read the previous posts to see who."Yay Apoc!!!!!!!" - bipolarbear

Can't wait 'til next week: Ben's flashback, plus Sawyer exposes Juliet.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011
