I got sucked back in when they had back-to-backs a couple weeks ago, including the one I skipped, on a night when I was caught up with work and bored.

That was absolutely ****ing intense.
Not as good as Heroes, but at least Lost is back in the conversation.
I'd be worried about both Sawyer and Locke, as it seems that neither has anywhere left to go in their backstories.
Can't wait 'til next week: Ben's flashback, plus Sawyer exposes Juliet."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine

This week still didn't really explain anything.
Honestly...the amount of things actually explained is pretty much 0 throughout the entire series. I've given up on actually having something explained."Yay Apoc!!!!!!!" - bipolarbear
"At least there were some thoughts went into Apocalypse." - Urban Ranger
"Apocalype was a great game." - DrSpike
"In Apoc, I had one soldier who lasted through the entire game... was pretty cool. I like apoc for that reason, the soldiers are a bit more 'personal'." - General Ludd

This ep shows really well why Locke is a very well-written character. They can have him help the losties, or be with the Others, he's a complex character who can plausibly side with either group or be of his own.
Was nice to see Jack getting distrusted because of his self-righteous and arrogant attitude .
Then again, it was pretty weak on the explanation front again. We still have no idea how Cooper got to the island. Still no idea why the Others left their village to go out camping, and the whole plane being found thing just complicates matters.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

It wasn't spelled out, but I thought there was a pretty strong implication that the Others back in the "real world" kidnapped Cooper by causing the car wreck, posed as the paramedics, and shipped him off to Hell Island."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine
"The subject of onanism is inexhaustable." --Sigmund Freud

I'd subscribe to that, but I thought they said that they no longer have transport/communications connections to the outside world because of the whole hatch implosion. And Cooper certainly appeared post-implosion.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

I guess that's why I'm back interested in the show.
You think they're explaining something, and then a few minutes later you're not sure just what got explained.
Much better than that middle stretch when they didn't even make the effort. I've been enjoying it more lately.
But I'll bet that in the end. The true dharma mission is researching imortality. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
