OK, all sorted out between the English and the Spanish. The English have undertaken to support the ailing Spanish economy, whilst also sharing our industrial skills.
The Spanish have shared with us their improved techniques for casting Cannon barrels and making sturdy gun carriages. After the French got ahold of this, we had to follow suit....

The proffesionalism in the French navy reaches new levels...
French Naval officers are said to have departed to Spain, in order to teach the spanish the new ways of war on the sea...No Fighting here, this is the war room!Comment

England, too, has improved the professionalism of its Navy.
Just in time, too. The Peace Treaty with the Bourbon powers expires at the end of this year. Whilst we will still be at peace with our Catholic neighbours, the peace is no longer guaranteed.
What diplomatic re-alignments will the future bring...?

Huge amount of French goods are being sold in London, the English are said to be thirsting for french goods...
During the last few years the english imports of French goods has quadropeled

One day, Holland and Spain might join in.....
England has to report increased Jacobite activity, as the son of the exiled "Charles III" skulks in his French refuge and tries to gather English Catholic support. The country is still firmly set against the return of the Stuarts, we believe....
We would politely request of the French merchants sitting happily in their ships in the Thames Estuary that they put aside their snail sandwiches and allow the Port of London to operate properly....If they are still there next year, the Royal Navy will be pleased to find a more suitable location for their ships - five fathoms nearer the centre of the earth!
