Standard British winter wear was a brown leather jerkin (sleaveless jacket) worn over battledress and a pair of woollen gloves. They were hard as nails those boys - none of your poncey snow overshoes or proper winter jackets. I think in early '45 some were issued with white jackets and trousers as camo

Haven't got a scanner so i've drawn on one of Alex's graphics

Check out: http://britmods.freehosting.net/cmwintercan.htm for some tips

DV: I think that's what Commonwealth troops wore in North Africa during the winter.

Case is right - that's an 8th Army soldier in a greatcoat. The leather jerkin was mid-thigh length and had no sleeves. I'll see if I can find a pic.

Leo: what do those red shields in the corner do?

The first red shield determines the shape. Its red gets replaced by the colour of its civ and all of the other colours are kept. The second red shield and the purple shield do nothing.

And if the Pink colored ones in the corner are modified, can you change the shape of the shield?

If by Pink you mean what I call Purple, it's just there for reference purposes. A health-bar of that size will overlap the top of the first red shield. The shape can be tweaked by changing the red shield.

and yes I know there are no roads at this point. Haven't put them down just yet.

You weren't kidding! Those terrains look quite stunning.
I'm not quite so sure about the colour of the roofing though. Somehow it looks a little ... off ... ?
                              Maybe a little darker?

                                *drools*

BTW, you should probably remove the smoke from the night time factories.
