  • That's not exactly what I meant. *EXISTING* infrastructure (ie. Cities, factories, etc) that was there before I started that country didn't even appear on the map.

Anyway, I like my current country a lot more. #248 in the world for White Giant, whoo~!

Sandman, would you be able to invite me (Alecrast) into the federation as well please?

      • If you conquer the country, can you assimilate it, or does it get automatically assimilated?

        Comment

        • You cannot assimilate it. You just run to countries.

          • You run it as another country. If it was controlled by another, they lose their access and you get mailed a password.

            • Funny... next question: what should my priorities be as a new nation?

              • if your education is any lower than 80, build more of what is needed, and increase production of school teachers.

In any case increase raise all of the priorities. They should amount to 120 in total, BUT THEY DONT.

                • Education of your labour forces to improve your worker base (You want teachers, university teachers middle managers, and high tech executives mainly), removal of outstanding high interest loans (Usually a good idea to take out new loans at 4% (Search for that specific percentage, don't go to the world bank) to pay off the higher interest ones, then sit on those low interest ones for a while), elimination of non-profitable corps.

                    • The trouble with closing down loss-making corproations is that they tend to be heavily indebted, and when you close them, you have to pay off the debt yourself.

<Kassiopeia> you don't keep the virgins in your lair at a sodomising distance from your beasts or male prisoners. If you devirginised them yourself, though, that's another story. If they devirginised each other, then, I hope you had that webcam running.

So you keep them for a while to take out new loans at 4% to pay off their existing debts, while trying to make it more profitable (ie. So you can sell it to some sucker CEO).

Yeah, I know, but it sucks that you have to pick up those debts, especially when it wasn't your decisions that led to their being incurred in the first place.

                              Sounds like a useful strategy.

                              • Just see if you can try to pull them off.

I had a corp with 90Bil Debts (!), that was loosing money.

The debt has now risen to 110, but it's making a profit, so I am not worried at all. It's actually worth some money now.
