Day 12: "Nuclear Dance Party." Today is the day when everybody up and just presses the button up here in this piece. Hercules sends 2 nukes towards DrSpike, and GeneralTacticus sends out his stockpile with two towards DrSpike and two at Hercules. DrSpike sends out one each at both GeneralTacticus and Hercules.
After the smoke clears, it beomes apparent that GeneralTacticus has emerged triumphant and has one city remaining

Presumably... and he was right, too, in my case at least. Of course, given that I had the firepower to reduce both him and Herc to slag twice over, it didn't do him much good.

Well I managed to give myself a small chance of pulling off an extraordinary victory given the position a few turns ago. The last turn I thought my only chance was the others exchanging nukes. However I wanted to give myself a small chance of MAD in case one of them deflected, so I sent one to each.
Although considering the large number of nukes assumed to be in play at that stage vs the small number of cities, perhaps bunker would have been wise...
Next game I'm going to count who is stockpiling/spy training...
