  • You will NEED a Mortar and Pestle; to use, just equip them on your character.

Having an alembic, calcinator, and retort helps, as does your alchemy skill, intelligence, luck, and the quality of your equipment.
What, praytell, is the purpose of a skooma pipe then? I have gotten them, and whenever I equip it, it acts just as a calcinator would. or does it mean that you smoke the ash yam or whatever you select?
Lysistrata: It comes down to this: Only we women can save Greece.
Kalonike: Only we women? Poor Greece!

    • Would you guys reccomend using a spell/scroll/potion of chameleon, or invisibility to go and steal stuff from merchants?

      • Chameleon. Invisibility is cancelled when you do stuff, right?

A skooma pipe is just a weak calcinator, the looks and sounds cool.
        John Brown did nothing wrong.

        • I keep my alchemy stuff in my house as well. With only alchemy stuff I find I can't move due to too much weight, even with no armour or weapons carried.

I wouldn't really steal from merchants - it causes problems when you want to sell things back to them later on. If you steal a silver claymore from a merchant for example you will never be able to sell silver claymores to him, even ones you legally bought, as he will consider it his stolen one.

Besides, hunt inside a single shrine area and you will
have massive amounts of cash from the resultant sales. I have over 200,000 in gold and still have at least that amount again in weapons needing to be sold. That doesn't even count the Daedric weapons on display in my house.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

          • okay thanks.

I'm not sure I have the patience to mess around with alchemy much. I'll stick to enchantment.

            • Alchemy makes you heaps of legal money. Hooray.

I want to do some hardcore enchanting. I need to grab some gems to hold the souls in though, so I will most likely be heading to Azura soon. Yummy gem. I have already prepared some summon scrolls for the operation.

Another question: Does anyone know where you can buy exquisite quality clothing?

              • The clothiers in Balmora, Aid-ruhn (under skar), and lots of other places.

Clothiers are more likely to help you than traders or pawnbrokers (naturally).

                • speaking of clothing. I didn't think you needed clothing if you were wearing armour. But I think I found out the npc's think you are naked if you don't have clothing on, and only armour. Is this true? I sold all my clothing.

                      • This is my house now. I tend to collect all sources of light. I also am running out of places to put them. There are some upstairs too.

Try the clothier shops, caves, etc. If all else fails, just find a rich merchant somewhere and "borrow" his.

                              • When you look a the collections, think about what other games this is possible in- the ammount of work that had to go into the creation of this game. That's what keeps me playing.
