Israel would be a Turkish-state in no time. Oh well, it's better than being Algerian.

If Israel is wiser (possibly sharon and barak are. let's hope they remain for the next 7 years), they can out-smart abu-mazen and actually get a signed deal for the end of conflict,

Any "final" deal will have the "end of conflict" as part of it, whether it's Sharon who signs it or Mitzna.

But we both know that this "end" will be worth nothing as soon as the means to accomplish the next stage are available.

Something has to happen, on the highest strategic level, to prevent the future agreement from become another Oslo.

Eli, why would you mind a Palestinian Army? It's not like they can actually try and do something against us, you know.

I hate to support the types of policies Sharon likes to use, but I don't see Israel having too much in the matter. All attempts to negotiate with the Palestinians w/o Arafat have failed pre-Oslo, and it is clear Arafat doesn't want peace. I fear Israel may have to continue its painful occupation until the Palestinians can bear no more and give in.

I have no problem with the secular turks. Just look at my avatar.

But seriously, we need a strong immigration control, and to start integrationist policies, as well as a reform of education, law, the military, police, and enviromental policies.

But I can't ***** about all of our problems now, right?

Hey Azazel did you know that Arafat was always a guest of honour at the conventions of the socialist party in Greece?

Yeah he came, spoke at the convention then shook hands in the air while saying freedom of Palestine.

One time the socialist party had as a guest after Arafat some guy from the Israeli embassy and he was well kinda pissed

talked about terrorism etc etc then some woman from teh socialist party had to take the stand and respond etc

ah.. where is Andreas Papandreou the guy who was one time in Moscow the other at Quadaffi the other with Arafat... made the yanks crap their pants...

those were the times I tell you, now what do we have, economic development and higher political standards? screw that.

Papandreou was the one who told the turks get the **** outa our territorial waters or we send you to meet your maker and they done it...

                  PAPANDREOU!

It's good to know that the socialists in greece follow the deluded paths of their brethen in real europe.

Qadaffi and Arafat, the great humanitarians. Sharon the butcher.

Further proof that Thug Arafat has to go if there's to be any hope of a new peace process. Maybe now the world will wake up and realize what the Israelis have to deal with on a routine basis.
