By comparision the most developed New England state, Massachusetts, can only manage a poultry 285 billion.
That's a lot of chicken!

Here's another secret: Iraq is already in (to their great benefit), we don't want the NK's or the Quebequious, and Cuba would be very lucky to get in.
The UK is obviously very capable and independent, but a true and reliable ally.
Oh, and I think many English -speaking Canucks would rather be Americans, especially after your new gun laws, which are killing your hunting industry.
Didn't I spank you in some discussion not so long ago?

BTW in 1903 Panama was a part of Colombia. The Americans wanted to build a canal across the ismthus but the government in Bogota made absolutely unreasonable monetary demands so the U.S., AHEM, "liberated" Panama from it's evil Colombian overlords.
And right into the hands of evil "American" overlords for the next, oh, several decades or so.
Considering how much was paid for say, Louisiana, or better yet, the subsequent commercial value of the canal, "unreasonable" is entirely in the eyes of the beholder. The canal could even have been built elsewhere.
Roosevelt paid a few local officials to declare Panamanian independence and then sent a fleet of warships to sit off the Colombian coast and prevent the Colombians from sending in reinforcements by sea. The U.S. Marines then rounded up the remaining loyalist troops and the new Panamanian government then signed the canal treaty with the U.S. for terms that were less then a tithe of what the Colombians were asking.
Oh, and don't forget that the U.S.A. also got to keep the lion's share of the profits, for as long as the canal was actually profitable, that is.
I won't say anything more on the subject since this is far from a serious thread, but...yeah, you should be really proud of that one. Truly "liberating","moral" and "fair" indeed.

Just like most other US "liberation" operations....

What's a hunting industry and why am I supposed to care about it?
Oh, never mind, I don't want to trouble you with the notion that there are people with different ideas than you, and who actually have to do real work in the real world.
EEK!

If you annexed Cuba, where would you send your questionably detained, non-PoWs? France?
Fair question. France would be no good, they would just treat them as heroes.
Of course France did run Devils Island into the 70's, maybe we could rent that.
