    Syria is not next.

      There is no "next."

Iraq was last on the list.

Everything after this is not on the schedule. Like Afghanistan was.

        yeah right ...

but ok, let first see what the US does with the 'liberated' people of Iraq. If they do a good job, then they have achieved something. However, if they follow their normal course of action (see afghanistan, cambodja, .... really loooong list) we will have in the hornets nest of the middle east a bloody civil war within the decade, followed by more terrorist attacks against the 'innocent' USA.

So maybe then they can attack Syria...

Exile was price to be paid for the privelidge of not being hounded to the ends of the Earth. He did not pay it, so that path is now closed to him.

I think Syria may very well be next. It depends on what happens in the very near future.

I also think the defeat of Iraq does advance our cause in the war against terror, but not because of any chemical weapons we may or may not find.

Shouldn't monkspider be saying 'Palmyra' or something?

I don't think empty bellowings of Rummy work on anybody.

Anyway, it is reported that Cowboy Bush vetoed the idea of attacking Syria.

                  Aram!

Seriously, I don't think it's going to happen. I think that something will be done with the regards to Syria, and perhaps to its' presence in Lebanon ( against which there is a growing resentment on Capitol Hill, or so I heard), But nothing really big.

Also, this very much depends on the developments in Iraq. So far, looting is continuing but we're a month from the BEGINNING of the war, so we'll. If Iraq will be raised as a pro-US stable, and strong government, Syria COULD be next.

I doubt even the Saudis would support an invasion of Syria.

(* checks calendar *) Aw crap, still 19 more months before we can vote out this war mongering fool.
