Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

We recognize it. We just won't be sending any citizen to it ever but we know what it is and where it is located.

PS I've yet to see any reasonable arguements for ratifying the Rome Statute.

True. But USSR could have attacked the US during Cold War. You know why they didn't ? They knew they would be nuked in the hour.

            You dont seem to understand.

You say you wont send your people to this tribunal. At the same time you tell Rwanda, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia that they HAVE TO send their suspects to the tribunal in order to "make bussiness" with the US.

Now this part I dont understand. Why the US wont sign it is QUITE clear. The same as the Kyoto co2 emmision agreement. Q U I T E clear.

Ad hoc tribunals don't equal the ICC so I fail to see the contradiction.

Would the US commit it's people to the jurisdiction of an ad hoc tribunal about war crimes in the current war?

Of course not. So cut the hypocrisy.

And don't tell me the US does not commit war crimes in Iraq. Only today, there were 3 deliberate attacks on journalists, resulting in 3 dead and many injured. Not to mention dropping bunker-buster bombs inside residential areas.

I do not believe for a second France, Italy, Spain or any other country really accept the jurisdiction of ICC. It is made to push around small countries.

What is wrong with that? Rwanda, Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia are free to tell US it has to ratify ICC in order to make buissiness with them.

When two missiles hit the offices of Al-Jazeera, a location well known for what it is (because the journalists had warned the US Command in detail about that location, in order to avod being hit, like it happened in Afghanistan), there is no excuse for error. There is also no excuse for the tank that fired at the Palestine hotel and for the other that hit the Abu-Dhabi TV camera. Also there was no excuse for the attack on the Russian convoy the other day, since they had definitely warned the US Command about their passing.

There is an excellent excuse. Coalition forces were under fire. End of story. If the reporters want to jam themselves in combat situations, that's fine but they've been warned.

We have the amazing ability to put people on trial for crimes they commit without shipping them somewhere else.
