Well are the US the only country to fear political charges that they are the only ones who dont wanna sign it?Of course NOT.

Again: the US want the international law to be applied to everyone, except them!

They are not dismissing the War crimes tribunal. They just say that it wont trial US citizens.

    How is that for attitude....

That's way, way better than the US starting wars against puny nations for political reasons.

The reason for the action against Iraq has been outlined and didn't seem in the slightest bit political.

Surley all wars are for political reasons
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

Of cource it's politics! That a country is or isn't allowed to have WoMD is the result of politics. The concept to press them with guns and the security council is political and to attack is a political action.

I'm fine, thanks . And you, what is your "power on the world stage" ? Not much i suppose, unless you are a member of the US government...

And by the way, changing the subject to hide the fact you have no more arguments is rather poor

Yep... have to agree on that one. Security reasons is the lamest excuse I have heard the US gov use.

I mean, has the US gov EVER produced any hard evidence that Iraq plans to attack the USA? All they have said is "we have proof" and CNN repeated it until we all got used to the fabrication that Saddam wants to attack the USA.

With that kind of reasoning... they might as well invade half the world!

                              Iraq could have attacked Israel.

IIRC the US does not have problems witht the Hauge Tribunal, it just has problems with the World Court set up by the Rome treaty
