          • there were from all over europe, all over the world really (excpet US since I think they were expelled).

They were near the airport and said there wasn't an american on sight.

They don't have to be payed by anyone. They reported what they saw and what the iraqis were telling them. Attributing said declarations to the iraqis.

I have a thread on that. CNN has admitted to not telling the truth about Iraq for the last twelve years - because of intimidation and threats of the Iraqi regime.

              • You shouldnt believe it.

If you leave Iraq you can tell it all. Logic?

Well, CNN admits that it did not tell the truth because it wanted continued access to stories from inside Iraq.

They simply lied to the world about Saddam and they now admit it.

                    • Thanks for an inspiring piece of analysis, Saras. We needed it badly here.
Freedom is just unawareness of being manipulated.

That's a pretty childish question, no offence of course

There are very few constants in life one of them is life itself and the protection of it.

I could say though to your question that truth is like an elephant! being touched by a group of blind men
One touches its trunk and thinks: hey this is a snake

another touches his feet and thinks: this is a tree

and so on and so forth.

That's why it is better if you look at any given subject from as many different angles as possible. That way you can be sure you are closer to the "truth"

                          yeah I read it.

However it's not like there was a shortage of "bad news" about Iraq.

                          • Y'all be surprised by this coming from a lithuanian, but you guys need to fvcking cheer up about your country.

I also agree with this. Things are looking up. The numbers are starting to show a lot of positives.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
