One of my personal favorite spidey comics that I own is one in which he teams up with wolverine.

You'd be surprised to hear some of the people he's collaborated with. He often works with Daredevil in fact, and the issue in which he was forced to work with Punisher was really engaging.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is different about "USM" Venom?

I want to see my two favorite villians of all time: Doctor Doom and the Juggernaut!

Come on, Spider Man faught both of them at some point. Hopefully, they'll make an X-Men 3 with Juggernaut. We'll probably have to wait until they make a FF movie to see Doctor Doom.

Ultimate Spider-Man, a reboot of the SM franchise with Peter Parker back at being 15, hiding the info from Aunt May, etc.

"Venom" in USM is closely related to Peter's Dad, who was partners with a Dr. Brock. They were devolping a "suit" that would envolpe the body and repair cancer. Pete's and Eddie Brock's parents died in the same plane crash.

Later, Peter met Eddie (now a Bioengineering major in college) and they talked about their parents. Eddie showed them the prototype of the suit, which was supposebly worthless. As it turned out, it was keyed to Parker DNA, so it attached to Pete.

After the suit made Pete nearly kill someone, Pete fried himself on an power line and got rid of the suit. He went back to destroy the remander at the Uni lab, but Eddie tried to stop him(failed). Eddie was feeling pretty bad that Peter destroyed something that his father left him, so he pulled out the spare and put it on.

Pete(In Civilian clothes!) and Venom fought in a thunderstorm. The cops show up and start shooting Venom, who falls on a live wire and disintigrates.

Bendis writes purty, and I always liked Bagley's art, from wwwwwwwwwwwaaaaayyyyyyy back in Amazing Spider-Man.

I also like The Ultimates...that is, whenever Miller and Hitch can put it out on time.

As for my sig, perhaps This will enlighten you.

The two have encountered each other before, and they are fairly evenly matched. I have the issue at home in my attic somewhere!
Spidey of course got the upper-hand.

And need I remind you of the fantastic 5?

where does doom show up more often? I'm just saying that Doom isn't one of the usual villians spidey fights

The plots that they use to have Spidey beat Doom are very stupid and contrived, like the Cosmic Power, Captain Universe Spider-Man storyline ( yes, I know that we're talking about Comics here )

That's absolutely right - I've only seen them fight once, and in a comic book that's hidden somewhere in my attic at home 500 miles away from me. So I have no idea.

I also have some with Spidey and Dr. Strange... though Dr. Strange would be better in a Silver Surfer movie.
What's the status on the Silver Surfer movie? Is it still in "development"? I remember reading about it in Stan's Soapbox around 1980, and certainly this is the one movie Stan Lee definitely wants to get made. He mentions it every few years.

Doc-Oc should be a great villain. Hopefully they'll get a better spiderman though.

Its a little off the thread topic, but I was a little dissappointed by Magneto in the X-men movie. He should have been a lot stronger.

What's wrong with the one they have? Tobey Maguire gave a more than passable performance, IMO.

I expect to see him really cut loose in the next two movies. However, he was only defeated in the first one due to being weaken from his encounter with Rogue.
