The league settings won't allow roster changes on a daily basis. If we are limited to making weekly rosters changes, injuries early in the week will mean people are without players until the next Monday. Can you change it to allow for daily roster changes?

No... I made that determination for a reason.
Daily roster changes means that those who are online every day will have a great advantage over those who are not, because those who are online day-to-day can ALWAYS have a pitcher pitching instead of having the strategy of which pitcher to pick for the week.
Head-to-Head would be destroyed by a daily roster change option. The 'daily' is really only for true Roto league.

I figured this was the best way he'd see my request given the league starts tomorrow, but does this mean we have to set our rosters for the coming week before Sunday/Monday midnight PST each week? And I thought all our pitchers counted so how does changing pitchers help unless people have bench slots taken up by pitchers? But even in that case, a manager would simply be replacing one starting pitcher with another so there'd be no gain.Comment

Btw, when do the players we picked under the Baldelli rule become eligible? I took Teixeira but he still doesn't show on my roster and I have to make room for him once he does become eligible and I don't want Yahoo screwing me out getting him because I have a full roster.Comment

Oh, one more thing, since the opener is tomorrow before the Monday deadline, does that mean we had to set our rosters before last Monday for tomorrow's game?

Imran - I still don't see how Imran's explanation matters, don't all our pitchers count in the weekly stats? So how can setting rosters on a daily basis benefit managers with regard to pitchers? Are you saying we get only one pitcher to count for the week? I thought we get 7 pitcher spots and that ALL 7 pitchers count toward the weekly stats. I'm looking at the roster possibilities and I don't see an option for picking one pitcher for the week. The reason you gave for limiting us to 20 players was to increase strategy, but now the reason to limit us to weekly roster changes is to reduce strategy. Can you respond to these issues or tell us where to find the answers?
Chris, if Acevedo clears today, you can still get him in your roster for the coming week since Sunday/Monday (tonite) at midnite PST is the deadline for this coming week. I was just concerned that an injury on Monday means you're out that position for the rest of the week. Whats the point of having a bench if not for quick substitutions and the strategy of fine tuning the roster. Not having daily roster changes possible because someone cannot or will not pay attention to their team penalizes the rest of us for paying attention.Last edited by Berzerker; March 30, 2003, 20:03.Comment

Hey everyone, just so you know, if Imran doesn't change the rule regarding weekly roster changes to allow us to make roster changes on a daily basis, the deadline for roster changes for the following week is Sunday/Monday night at 12:00 PST or 3:00 AM Monday EST. So make any roster changes you want before that deadline or you'll be stuck with the same roster, including uncovered positions due to injuries.Comment
