Just because someone files a suit doesn't mean they win it.

Elsewhere, didn't some Norwegian woman sue to have stand-up urinals removed from boys' restrooms in public schools because it taught the lads a dominating stance?

Sometime after that case I bought a cup of coffee from a McDonalds at the drive through window. The coffee was so hot that the cup was softened. To make matters worse the lid wasn't put on properly. The cup literally came apart in my hands. The hot coffee did in fact burn my leg, and I burned my fingers as I grabbed the cup and flung it out of the car

Yes, but the cup came apart as I lifted it into my vehicle. Am I supposed to hand the cup holder to the cashier and ask her to put the cup in the holder? No, wait, the cup holder is attached to the dashbord, so I can't. I know, I should ask her to climb out of her little cubby hole, get into my car and personally place the flaming hot liquid in my cup holder. Ok, I'll try that next time.

That is true, but there are other issues that come out of a public health care system.

If I understand correctly what you say, a doctor should be sued for having made a mistake. Is every medical mistake equivalent to a negligence in your understanding ?

No. Only if he had made a mistake that could have been easily prevented. Doctors have a duty to their patients to not made dumb errors.
