They are far from the safest means of transporting infantry, but they are damn convenient for combat purposes.

Quick search on Google says that 17 helicopters were lost in Gulf War I but whether any of them were accidents I don't know...

It's more helpful than your comment.

I was at the University of Surrey the other week. What a boring place...

Although, questioning all helicopters based on the Sea Kings is a bit like questioning wheeled transport because of Pintos.

Then again, collisions are another story, aren't they. Human error would be the biggest factor there.

The more boring the university the more easy it is to get the girls into your room to make your own fun.

I thought you were a married man anyway...?

Only three so far. None to combat.
                    A Marine CH-46.
                    British Sea Kings.
Both of these type have been around for a long time. First flight for the SH-3 (Sea King) was 1959.
First flight for the CH-46 was Aug. 1959.
I think its time to retired both types.

Just a saying... would "in a relationship" be easier for you to understand?

Nothing unusual here, accidents kill and destroy more
aircraft and crew than the enemy in most conflicts.
                                (WW1, WW2 fer sure)
