They are far from the safest means of transporting infantry, but they are damn convenient for combat purposes.

Although, questioning all helicopters based on the Sea Kings is a bit like questioning wheeled transport because of Pintos.
Then again, collisions are another story, aren't they. Human error would be the biggest factor there.(\__/)

Only three so far. None to combat.
A Marine CH-46.
British Sea Kings.
Both of these type have been around for a long time. First flight for the SH-3 (Sea King) was 1959.
First flight for the CH-46 was Aug. 1959.
I think its time to retired both types.
