He is (or was, heh) a wealthy Saudi princeling. There is no 'aftermath' for such people.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Or so you think in your limited calculation about whether one has family members killed or not or suffers from it.

Like his dad said: I made sons so they'll fight for the freedom of palestine. (since his deman for his trcuks to be transformed into tanks was deemed impossible by his engineers).

apparantly the german environmental ministry made a report that leaked out to the newspaper tageszeitung. it says that between 400 000 and 2 million iraqis will die.

I think the numbers are slightly exaggerated

I don't speak German, but I saw those figures there.

I don't think it will cause so much lives.

I think that this war will be short. I don't think that a short conventional war can claim so many lives.

My first thoughts were of horror and outrage -- how could he not stop with her standing there? I could understand an accident, but this?.

Then I thought, "funny...the horizon looks different in the 'before ' and 'after' shots..."

The I noticed the bulldozer had a red blade in the 'before' shot and a blue blade in the 'after', and the lights were different...

                    What the hell?

It says something like "the numbers results from all humanitarian consequences of the war". They probably mean polluted water, lack of medication and food and so on?

I guess it depends on how quick Saddam is to surrender and how quickly foreign aid can get there

I'm having trouble having sympathy for her.

Again I'm being evil again. You know I took one of those D & D tests for alignement. I thought I would be good, but I was lawful neutral.

So I realize I'm not a good person now .

Gangerolf: Yeah, well, this numbers are definetly skewed. Unless the war goes on for more than 6 months.

The numbers will likely be higher than the official toll, but lower than what the German/French are saying...

EDIT: Still, EVERY single death is a tragedy, even if none of them affect us...

The article says that _most_ of the casualties will die of the humanitarian consequences of the war.

But I don't like the TAZ and they often publish biased news IMHO.
I remember articles of the TAZ that were so ridiculous that I first thought they were meant to be sarcastic.

I feel badly for the "human shields", too.
                                How were they to know?
