Phew! I feared I'd lost the knack.

And may I remind you again - Orange Cup holders - just like Glaws will be when they beat the new French champions.
Gloucester first have to win the local title. They like to stumble.

          • My Palate is perhaps my most discerning sense so you have to go with your strengths.

Gloucester already are champions as far as I am concerned having secured first place. This new fangled play off idea is all well and good but it's not rugby really now is it?

Plus the only side that might possibly have beaten them has failed to make to cut - as we all know full well.

Gloucester deserve the title. I'm man enough to repsect the quality that they win it with. I'll never like them though.

A bit akin to Wagner, really. Despise the man, marvel at his music. Now where else but in a rugby thread would Wagner crack a mention?

Tickets to the Bledisloe Cup match in Sydney in July went on sale yesterday morning at 9am. At 9.20am they were all gone. OTOH, there are still plenty available for Wallabies -v- Wales in June. I might have to think about it. It will be one of the few matches we stand a chance of winning this season.

Another couple of new thread title possibilities:

Rugby - Hands On The Ground!

              Rugby - Roll Away!

Yes, we sort of did that one with a similar title.

And this one, too, with "Hemisphere Wars".

They all probably started at the college level, as most sports do. But for the most part I think teams like the Chicago Bears and Baltimore Colts had seperate roots from college teams like Notre Dame.

There was a wonderful documentary TV series on the history of baseball made by Ken Burns - who made the "Civil War" documentary series - shown here last year. I know it was made and shown over there a long, long time ago. But because baseball is a very minor sport here, the TV network obviously thought it wouldn't be of interest. Once they finally showed it, it was absolutely fascinating.
Baseball started in the early 1800s, from a game called rounders or something like that. Teams like the Red Stockings started playing in the 1800s and eventually the American League and National League were formed, and they later merged.

                            I guess someone has to
                            Yes, indeed.

How about a name like Rugby: Play Advantage?

But how about just making it Advantage!? Short and sweet.

Rugby - Advantage! ... I really like that!

And the thread after that could be Rugby - Advantage Over!

I highly recommend it. The boyos will go in numbers despite knowing that they will lose and the way Bread of Heaven rings around the ground will put the ‘Go Wallabies’ mob to shame.

Fearsome mutt there – better read back at some point and find what the context is.

Rugby – Advantage works for me. Any of them not referring to tigers work for me right now.
