You certainly shouldn't be a lock!
        Not that small

        In round figures, 5' 9" = 1.75m; 5' 10" = 1.77m; etc.
I'm about 160 lbs and 5'10'', so about 1.77m. Is there any easy way to convert between feet/inches and metres that I haven't heard of?

        • You can get calculators that do it. You can even get computer software that does it. The simplest way is to remember that 30cm = about 12 inches = one foot. So 5cm = about 2 inches, 2.5cm = about 1 inch, and so on.

And, in weights, 1 kg = roughly 2lbs 3oz. The weights are harder to calculate in your head than the measures, IMHO. The thing I've never been able to fathom is why you Americans talk about your weight in terms of pounds, whereas we talk about our weight - well, Havak doesn't, but, given his worship at the Pork Pie Altar, that's understandable - in stones and pounds. With 14 pounds = 1 stone. So an American might describe him or herself as 150 pounds, whereas we would describe ourselves as 10 stone, 10 pounds.

Anyway. just think yourself lucky you have a nice, simple, understandable system of weights and measures! Unlike we who are stuck with this stupid metric system!

          • I wonder on which day did He create lantern jaws?
The obvious would be the fourth day I suppose – think shirts. And it couldn’t be later than the eight now could it (on the day after the last day he created towering English locks?).

The referees are now too busy with Franck Tournaire...
He is getting better – on Sunday he gave no penalties away. Then again he only played fifteen minutes.

A sombre and very moving piece you found there Finbar – but quite right about the headline.

I am pretty sure you can find a metric/inch-foot converter or a spread**** on the net, I have myself found a F°/C° converter without any problem a few weeks ago.

                • On which note it was snowing as I drove into work.

Only lightly - but it's mid April for goodness sake!

That's odd. I pictured you as the jog into work type. Oh well, another fantasy in tatters.

You moved to Perth in search of snow? Sometimes I really really wonder about you. In fact, I wonder what you're even doing in Perth. I thought the only foreigners in Perth were Brits and Soud Efreekins.

I’ve always looked upon locks favourably however and tried to keep on good terms as it only takes a slight mistake in binding for even the hardest of front rows to cry like a baby.
That is a reason why I keep good relations with props too. Playing as a hooker with a prop who doesn't hold you well is... urgh...
I am shocked, however, to see that your addiction to Guiness is a recent one. I love that beer. Luckily for my wallet and my belly, there are not that many bars with tap Guiness in France. Now you've managed to get e raving for a drink and there is no tap Guinness at least 70kms around me

                            • Hurricanes vs Waratahs should be good. I have to tape it tonight and watch it tomorrow. The other game I get to see is Blues vs Bulls - shouldn't be too much of a challenge for my lads...

Now with the Fijian winger back in the team. Last week's effort without him was telling.
