Modern descedants killed 200.000 greeks in 1922, invaded Cyprus in 1974, tried to cause a war in 1987 and grabbed one of our islands in 1996.
WHAT part exactly of "The Turks have remained the same for 1000 years" don't you people understand?
1922 Greek war against Turkey seizing Thessaly and
some Ionian Islands I seem to remember. There was
a massacre on one one of the islands by the Turks.
Cyprus, Mainland Greeks staged a illegal coupe over
throwing the rightful government of Cyprus.

I understand your hands were'nt clean eithier in both
situtions. Greece caused both conflicts rightly or wrongly
a lot of that blood is on Greek hands.

Please, don't mention history, it just reveals your ignorance. 1922 had nothing to do with Tessaly and the Ionian islands; it all happened in Asia Minor.
Palaiologe, you're welcome to insult me as well. As far as I am concerned, since your "point of view" would laed me into some ditch in Thrace, with a rifle in my hands and dodging bullets, then yes, it's my right to attack it.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

As for the insults, i think i wll pass. I am not in the mood of personally attacking people. I prefer to challenge their views, not their personalities.
It is my belief that war is sometimes prefered to the unhonourable alternative. The whole point is to stand up and fight, not bend over as a coward.
It is not a single life(your own) that you fight for, but for your country, its honour and its history. What will the future of the next generations be if at the crucial momment the politicians and its citizens exhibited cowardice?
Unfortunately many peolple today prefer to continue enjoy their riches with whatever the cost. Even dishonour.

I respond to him just to add that 1 million of Greeks went refugees from that war and 1.5 million Armenians were massacred in the first genocide of the 20th Century by the Turks.
And I see him laughing about that...
I wish him emoroides on him and his family, if this is the case.
And of course just a bunch of rugclothed Greeks almost made it to Ankara. Were it not for the brits not keeping their promise we'd still be there.
Oh well, Greece has expanded its territories steadily in every war from the 19th Century onward.
