Best thing that can be done is engage you in multilateralism and try to screw you over there. (your pro war policies I mean).
Also on top of the agenda is don't participate so that US a gov. will pay the whole bill since it wants supremacy in the region anbd the country with the 2nd largest oil reserves on its soil.

This is the only way I think the US could be defeated in war:
Every nation that has US troops/equipment in its territory instantly captures them (France and Germany would lauch a pre-emptive strike on US and RAF targets in the UK). The US will be forced to use its carriers to project its power and perhaps the Russian/Chinese/French/German air forces combined could match and beat the U.S. Navy. With no naval aircraft, the U.S. would lose its ability to project power and lose the war.A true ally stabs you in the front.
