"smuggle one on board a ship & park it in L.A. harbor."
No big loss. And besides, they know if they did that, they'd totally be toast. No country would not sympathize with the U.S. after an attack of that scale, and we would have possibly the very first united world coalition against a single country. Hell, China might even join in.
Same if they attacked Tokyo, only even more so, because modern Japan is a bit less hated around the world than the U.S., or at least I get that impression.

The entire stance is suicidal. Why not add some more insanity?

The country is starving, an so goes the theory that a lot of pissed Koreans can be turned away from the government as an enemy

...but I always wondered in the case of NK - are the people basically put at gunpoint to have "great leader" parades etc., or do they genuinely accept him due to Indoctrination? Are they at least partially happy with their current government, sincerely

Remember that ship load of missiles from NK bound for Iraq? It makes me wonder...does Saddam have an NK nuclear tipped missile up his sleeve? That could be a nasty shock...

Pres Bush should not have let it go.

It's probably hard to know but there's a lot of brainwashing going on. There was some documentary about a dutch (I think) delegation to NK that caused some attention a few years ago that visited a school where the kids looked, well strange...

                  Zylka - Good question.

Milan Kundera (a Czech) wrote about this in his book 'The Joke'. While it applied to May Day parades in his country, the same situation exists in NK. It is a charade, and the people know it.

Are you talking about the missiles that went to Yemen, not Iraq?

The thing to be concerned about, from a U.S. point of view, how involved is China?

Heh. If they really want to screw with everybody, park that boat in Tokyo harbor.
They don't have to; they can hit Tokyo with ease...
