It's a bullet. The cartoon isn't about drugs perse, it's a bout legal things which kill lots of people versus one illegal thing which doesn't kill anyone. Furthermore, Mr. Jay's thought cloud says "dum-dum," which is a type of bullet.

How many brain cells died typing that? Brain cells die all the time, and inhaling any smoke probably kills a few more, but what if the pot relieves pressure on certain blood vessels, etc? Stress probably kills brain cells, so relieving stress with pot may save some.

Pot does kill brain cells. Other activities do kill brain cells as well but you cant discredit that pot does kill them. In addition Im not quite sure if you can see it that way either.

Cigarette smoking is habitual, where as pot smoking is recreational and not done per daily basis. I'm not the only one who stated this (Che said 4-5 times, I wasnt sure of exact number anyway) so clearly Im not making this up

A dum-dum is a bullet with part of it's tip shaved off. This makes it more lethal.

If pot was legalized, many would probably chain smoke it, as it would be much, much cheaper than it is now, and there would be no legal consequences one has to dodge. Is this good? Is this bad? I dunno the answer to that.

I figure tahat if people wanna smoke cigs, its ok, Im pro-choice like that. And so logically if I think its ok for people to smoke cigs if they want to even if they know its bad for them, then whats wrong with people smoking weed? But I've also been raised under the whole, "Dont do drugs because they are BAD!" thingymabob, so OTOH I think drugs are bad and should remain illegal... Perhaps if there were some evidence to suggest that it kills large amounts of brain cells then that would be a good reason to keep it illegalized, as we dont want a nation (nor a world for that matter) of dead heads.

Does anybody know any hard facts and statistics on marajuana and its effects on health?

It's not a cure for anything, it just relieves some of the symptoms of certain conditions. As for asthma, if your lungs are ****ed, the last you want to be doing is smoking a joint.
