Raiders' D: #11
I think this stat is a little deceiving, as the Buc's "O" really came on the last few regular season games, as well as in the playoffs. A 24th Ranking is not really representative of what they are capable of currently. And of course Gruden knows the Oakland defense inside and out: I expect the Bucs to put up some big numbers today!
That said, I'm hoping for a good game more than anything else: maybe not coming down to the last play like the Rams two Super Bowls of the last few years, but something that'll go deep into the 4th Qtr before its decided! It'd be a fitting end to a season that has been so exciting!
The Raiders D is also much better than that. You forget that most of the passing yards they give up is when they are already leading by double digits and teams are just passing in order to keep up. Overall, the Raiders are the better team. I hope they win.
The Superbowl is actually being shown live here, which will be nice - although since it's on Channel5 we'll have to sit through adverts for Gay-Chat premium phone-lines during the breaks. It seems that UK advertisers think that American sport mostly appeals to lonely homosexuals.
The Channel5 TV listings are also some interesting viewing:
NFL Super Bowl Live
Time - 23:05 - 03:00 (3 hours and 55 minutes long)
Do they know something we don't?
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.
We get superbowl from 2 channels, both LIVE, one with english commentating and one with finnish.. talking about quality!
I got my pringles bought, dip sauce, coca cola, and just before it starts, I get some burgers from drive-in and partyyyy!!!

Normally, I'd root for a team like the Bucs, due to their sad history--back when they wore cremesicle orange, a gay, winking pirate on their helmets, and cleat marks on their chests. However, I simply can not bring myself to root for a team that has Keyshawn Johnson and Warren Sapp. Talk about an Axis of Evil.

A worldwide television audience of over 800 million is expected to tune in for Sunday's Super Bowl showdown between the Oakland Raiders and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
